Su Tissue, built of parts from a few Masterbox kits. The mic and stand are scratch built. Epoxy putty hair.

These Master Box kits were used for the parts. The hair is epoxy putty.

Head, body, skirt, arms, and right hand.

Left hand and legs.

Hair is epoxy putty.

Legs from the Maquis kit.

Both arms are from the France, 1944 kit. Only the left gripping fist is from the Maquis kit.

Next will be the mic and stand assembly. Thanks for looking.

The mic stand was made from spare parts and styrene rod. The mic holder at the top of the stand was too chunky and wide so I trimmed it down.

Thanks for looking

KoSprueOne,

Amazing work here. A cool subject. Well done.

So what ever happened to her? She had a small part in a movie...

yeah, "Something Wild", then gone. Thanks for the compliment.

I plan a whole series of iconic female musicians. Vocalists mostly because guitars or drum sets will be too difficult to scratch build

Hi KSO,

Nice work, and idea. I hope Exene Cervenka is on your list of candidates - I saw X play again a few months ago - they still rock - and, more surprisingly, sound and look much better than I would have guessed - it was a great show.

Cheers
Nick

Yes, Exene, definitely.
As well as Alice Bag, Teresa Covarrubias, Josephine Baker, Diamanda Galas, and more.
Man, you saw 'X' live. I haven't seen them or the Suburban Lawns live.
Thanks for checking in and for your comments.

The mic was made by dipping a styrene rod into glue. Then when the glue cured it was dipping into a jar of surface primer.

Would you be upset if I told you X played the outdoor venue at the college I intended in 1987? And it was a free show as well.

So, is your plan to primarily showcase West Coast talent, or will you have representatives from other early scenes also?

Ha! I guess we’re rock n roll types at heart! I first saw X play in 1984 - I heard they played at my college the year before I got there in ‘86 and there was said to be a riot! Here’s another - how about Belinda Carlisle - she was almost the drummer for The Germs! I guess her being a drummer disqualifies her - tho she was lead vocal on the Go-Gos....nah, too main stream....lol

Happy model building - rock on

'she now lives a quiet life on the east coast and her name reserved for a few courteous fans' to paraphrase IMDB entry

Again, good story.
Chrissie Hynde and Patti Smith is on the list so Belinda Carlisle qualifies. Mainly based on that Germs fact but she wont be sitting behind a drum set tho. Beyond my current skill level.
