Matho Models has released a pair of new products, a Foam Board HD as well as a PVC foam board. Matt Leese [ MATT ] works with the foam board HD to see how it stands up and out from the rest. Mathos offers 3 thickness'' 1,3 and 5mm, as well as a starter set containing all 3.

Hi Matt , I have no experience with foam board so am curious about its uses , from your review you stated
"The largest difference I found was the fact that the paper peels off extremely easy! I've struggled with removing the paper from some foam core boards in the past"
What is the board used for ? as a display base ? and why would you peel off the paper ? I appreciate any info you (or any others} would care to provide
TIA

You can also get offcuts of the stuff from picture framing shops. I got a whole bag of it in exchange for a modest donation to its charity box.

For removing the paper, I'm told that a hot air gun is good for melting the glue but I'm still looking for mine to test that theory.
