Nice looking Achzarit !
The antislip is very convincing. Good luck for the weathering.

Hi all,

I push the second IDF Mk.IV kit to this campaign, like the Mke Podplesky's first one (p.4). Maybe a little dio as the box cover's illustration.

Have fun.

K.

Getting closer:

Antennae, last of the return rollers.

And crew. The two figs will both be in the commander's hatch, for a little animation. At his point, I may open the loader's hatch as well, depending on if I can scare up another fig.
The nearest guy had to have his left arm shaved odd as it was "long sleeved" and the right arm I used had the sleeve rolled up, a bit of a stretch for me as far as figs go. The pointing guy is will be pushing on the left shoulder of the half fig.

John: I'm really liking the Centurion.

I just verified that my Merk. is somewhere over the Pacific.

Hi people!

Those Centurion kits are very, very good. I built an Australian one a long time ago and it was fantastic.

My "bad girl" is still in workbench. She looks great. Pics as soom as I have some time to take them.

Cheers!

Great work out there everyone!!

I haven't been completely unproductive on the Great Wall F-15D. I've gotten the cockpit painted and the instrument panels decalled (those are pretty much all individual decals for the instruments!)

 photo 2014-11-23_11-55-53_683_zps5532018c.jpg

After I put the decals on and they had dried, I dull coated the panel then picked out the instruments with gloss coat to represent glass.

Here's the cockpit together:

Now the forward fuselage is together and it's time to move on to the back half.

Cool work, all!
Jim, whose tracks are you planning on using for the 2D?
I want to pick one up, but have been hesitant since no one other than Legends does the "batash" tracks, and there seems to issues with theirs. I've been holding off on doing the Magach Gal-batash, currently in the stash, for the same reason.

So, getting the preliminaries out of the way so I can start building. Here's the Academy kit and Legend set:

This is basically a brand new kit; it has a few parts in common with the older Academy Mk.2, but not many. Even this sprue has been re-tooled (older one in green plastic):

Academy gives you a choice of wheels and have provided the ball and chain turret armour in plastic:

Also a choice of side skirts, original type or heavy armour:

The belly armour:

@ Russ, I'm just going with the kit tracks right now, they're not too bad (maybe a little thin). Hopefully Friul or Spade Ace come up with some before I'm finished .

@ John, your turret is looking very nice

This is where I’ve got to…

The figures come from the Academy super Sherman kit.

I hope to do a little pre-shading this evening and maybe even lay down some kind of IDF sandy-khakhi-drab colour too!

Cheers

Nice work on those Shots! Shotim? Not to mention the Merkavot!

Well, anyway, here's some progress on the Baz. From just a forward fuselage section a few days ago to this:

Now it's time for my (least) favorite thing:

Seam work! Ugh.

Hello all,
I haven't been sleeping even if I didn't post recently.
I assembled the whole running gear and gave it some paint before joining both hull halves.

Now I have to work out a solution for the antislip coating. I had some sand that I thought it would do the trick but the grains are too big.

Here is my try at the antislip coating.

I did it with white glue and artcraft sand. The hull is done too.

And here is how it looks with some paint on.
