HistoryBefore there were single seat fighters. These were developed to answer the threat of enemy aircraft by intercepting them and preventing them from reporting back with photos and information on German troop movements in 1914-1916.
ContentsDigging back to 1978 we come across one of the better references designed for the amature historian and modeler on the subject of early British aviation units. The author is Mr. Alex Revell and its is still available on Amazon. This book lends to accurate and well written historical text but also includes the organizational facts on the first units by tables in the appendices.
