Introduction
Noch has recently provided the modeller with three new products replicating some of the classic trees found around southern Europe.

Almonds Trees
Each pack contains two trees: one measuring 8cm [3.15”] and the other is 9 cm 3.54”] high. As you can see from the images they are in full blossom so will add some spectacular colour to your layout. Each tree has a small root network which makes gluing to the baseboard much easier. These trees can be used with any ‘HO’ ‘TT’ and ‘N’ gauge layout with a continental feel or any. Understandably a few of the blossoms have dropped off in transit in the packaging, but this in no way spoils the overall look of the trees. Rather than throw the loose blossoms away, just scatter them under the tree for a more authentic look.

Pine
This classic looking pine [stone pine?] which is so familiar if you have travelled in southern Europe stands 11.5cm [4.53”] high. This Pine will certainly add a continental look and will certainly add some height to your ‘HO’ ‘TT’ and ‘N’ gauge layout. Each pack contains a single tree.

Cypresses
Another classic tree that is associated with cemeteries in southern Europe. The Cypress is now a popular tree that is seen throughout the world. This pack contains three trees: 10cm [3.94”], 11cm [4.33”] and 13 cm [5.12”] high and is of the family Cupressus sempervirens .

Ref no: 21998

Each tree has a small root network which makes gluing to the baseboard much easier.

Conclusions
These will be ideal as specimen trees if you want something a lot more interesting and individual than the economy trees. The Almond trees in blossom will certainly add some colour. I can almost hear the Cicadas in the undergrowth.

Please tell vendors and retailers that you saw these trees here - on RailRoad Modeling.
SUMMARY
Highs: Really good quality build and the Almond trees will add some lovely spring time colour
Lows: Much more expensive than Nochs own economy trees, but then again they do look far more interesting.
Verdict: Highly recommended.
