Round 2, under the Lindberg label, has reissued Pyro’s classic Gouda Dutch Man O’War sailing ship.
This kit is a reissue of the Dutch Man O’War Gouda
originally produced by Pyro
in 1967. Later issued by Life-Like
and then by Lindberg
, this was one of Pyro’s larger and better sailing ship kits.
While the real Gouda was a Dutch third rate ship of the line, the model has a hull that looks more like an armed merchantman, but it also has lots of attractive details and looks to be simple to assemble. According to Round 2
, who have been reissuing many of these classic kits:
“Lindberg is proud to release a finely crafted model of the Gouda sailing ship, a two decker warship used during the first Anglo-Dutch War. Our kit is 14” long and contains 288 parts! It’s a must have for any model ship builder.”
